2021 Chad Weiberg starts tenure as OSU athletic director

Chad Weiberg took over the Oklahoma State athletic department from longtime Athletic Director Mike Holder on July 1.

Weiberg, a 1994 OSU graduate, earned his MBA from the Spears School of Business in 2004. He worked as the director of corporate sales and donor relations for OSU Athletics until 1999, when he joined the staff of the OSU Alumni Association, then the OSU Foundation.

Weiberg left Stillwater in 2004 for Kansas State and worked his way up to senior associate athletic director for development before leaving for Texas Tech in 2015.

He was deputy director of athletics at Texas Tech for two years before returning to OSU in 2017 to become Holder’s deputy director.

Weiberg takes over a strong athletic department, with every program making the postseason in 2020-2021. New facilities for baseball, cross-country, tennis and soccer have been built in the last decade.

He and his wife, Jodi, have two children.
