The college's semi-weekly newspaper "The Orange and Black" was renamed the "O'Collegian," and housed in Old Central by 1924.

It became a daily newspaper later that same year but was not renamed the "Daily O'Collegian" until 1927.

Even before it became a daily, its stories and features were popular reading, except among some campus administrators who reportedly considered them "troublesome."
