Joe Buck became Oklahoma A&M College's first baseball All-American, when he was selected for the American Baseball Coaches Association first team in 1951. After his college career, Buck signed to play professionally with the Boston Red Sox. He was in the first class inducted into the OSU Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.
