Educational Television Services became the forerunner of a pacesetting telecommunications commitment at OSU.

Marshall E. Allen (shown in most of the photos) headed ETS and helped OSU offer classes and seminars on a global basis. He also produced "Candid Campus," a statewide effort to inform the public about higher education.

Allen was the point man for the transition to the use of satellites in broadcasting, and helped OSU stay on the cutting edge of broadcast technology into the 21st Century.
