Following an 83-73 victory over Iowa State, the basketball court inside Gallagher-Iba Arena was officially named Eddie Sutton Court, after the legendary, and at that time current, coach of the men's basketball team. The win was the 768th of Sutton's career, and moved him to seventh place on the all-time wins list, surpassing his long-time mentor and OSU legend Henry Iba. The white maple court that now includes coach Sutton's name was first installed in 1938, and is one of the oldest in the country.
