1997 OSU is ranked as one of the nation's most wired colleges

Internet Life magazine declared OSU Oklahoma's premier computer university by naming it as one of "America's 100 Most Wired Colleges."

OSU ranked 67th among the 300 universities surveyed and was the only public college listed from Oklahoma. The high score was attributed in part to the number of students who owned computers -- 60 percent.

The article also noted that 10 percent of classes had Internet home pages, about 20 percent had online study aids and almost 10 percent allowed students to submit their homework "on the Net."
