2013 KOSU opens new studio in Oklahoma City

KOSU initiated its first live broadcast from its new studios in the Hart Building on Oklahoma City's historic Film Row on Sept. 20, 2013.

The $400,000, 4,000-square-foot studio space doubled KOSU's capacity to produce local news and music along with its Stillwater studio.

True to its original vision, KOSU's two towers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa allow its broadcasts to cover 54,000 square miles in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri.

The Film Row district in Oklahoma City dates back to 1907, when entrepreneurs sold equipment and supplies to theater owners and offered spaces where films were screened before being shown to the public.

Listen live to the National Public Radio at KOSU.org.
