Ellie, a 5-year-old cat, suffered from a kidney blockage. Dr. Johnattan Arango, small animal surgery resident, successfully placed a subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) port in Ellie. This was the first time this type of procedure had been performed at the Veterinary Medical Hospital.
