Gov. Brad Henry and more than 20 other dignitaries broke ground Thursday, July 26, 2007, on the single largest project of the Oklahoma Higher Education Capital Bond Program. The 124,000 square-foot, $70 million OSU Interdisciplinary Science Research Building provides laboratory space for a range of disciplines with custom-designed facilities for research in biodiversity, biophysics, photonics, synthetic chemistry and advanced materials. It was completed in the fall of 2010 and later renamed the Henry Bellmon Research Center. Those pictured include OSU A&M Regent Lou Watkins, Governor Brad Henry and Provost Marlene Strathe, they are joined by Vice President of Research Stephen McKeever to do the honors.
