Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center opens

In January 2014, Oklahoma State Athletics opened the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center, the second major project of the university’s athletic village. The $10 million complex began construction in October 2012. At 50,000 square feet, it houses six indoor courts, 12 fully lighted outdoor courts, locker rooms, coaches offices and a sports medicine area. Previously, OSU tennis called the DeBois Tennis Complex home. Located at the Colvin Recreation Center, the program struggled to maintain the courts after years of wear and tear and looked to move their home courts elsewhere.  The Greenwood Tennis Center provided OSU with the chance to host many major tournaments for both indoor and outdoor tennis, including the 2024 NCAA National Championships for men’s and women’s tennis. The Greenwoods are longtime OSU supporters. The couple have been members of various OSU committees and boards, as well as supporting several programs and scholarships. They have a library reading room and a music education building named in their honor.
