Family and Children’s Services and the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for Legacy Plaza West on April 26. The ribbon-cutting ceremony honored the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation — the organization that donated the west tower located at 5310 E. 31st St., to F&CS and OSU-CHS to expand their services. Tours of some of the 13 floors were offered following the event. Speakers at the event included Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum, Family and Children’s Services CEO Gail Lapidus, OSU-CHS President Johnny Stephens, and Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation Trustee Judy Kishner. In 2018, the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation selected OSU-CHS and Family and Children’s Services as recipients of an in-kind gift of Legacy Plaza West. After renovations were completed last year, F&CS moved into eight floors of the tower and OSU-CHS occupies six floors. Having space in the facility, which serves as headquarters for Family and Children’s Services, has allowed the agency to consolidate several community-based and home-based services into one location, expand mobile crisis services, and increase conference space to host more parenting classes and trainings. Several OSU-CHS programs and initiatives relocated to Legacy Plaza West, including the OSU Behavioral Medicine clinic, OSU Medicine Primary Care clinic, Project ECHO, the Center for Indigenous Health Research and Policy, and the OSU Health Access Network. The National Center for Wellness and Recovery’s Addiction Medicine clinic is also located in Legacy West.
