The Boys From Oklahoma concert rocks Boone Pickens Stadium

Boone Pickens Stadium roared with more than football in spring 2025 — it echoed with the sound of Red Dirt legends. Cross Canadian Ragweed reunited for a four-night homecoming in Stillwater, the birthplace of the genre they helped define.Formed in the ’90s, the Oklahoma-rooted band rose from jam sessions in Stillwater to national acclaim, shaping a generation of OSU students and Red Dirt fans. Their return, once thought impossible, became reality thanks to a spark ignited by OSU alumnus and Rolling Stone contributor Josh Crutchmer. The reunion drew over 170,000 fans and featured Turnpike Troubadours, Stoney LaRue, and more. It wasn’t just a concert — it was a cultural milestone and a major fundraiser for OSU Athletics’ NIL efforts, supporting student-athletes in the evolving college sports landscape.“This was the biggest party Stillwater had ever seen,” Crutchmer said. “It’s like winning a high-stakes Bedlam game — except this time, we got to celebrate for four straight nights.”
