Willard Hall opens

Located north of Theta Pond, Willard Hall opened in 1939 to house 415 women. The new residence hall was styled in the modified Georgian architecture that prevailed on campus and had a mix of Chinese and Colonial furnishings. The building's south lawn, near Theta Pond, has been a popular site for many campuswide events. Today, Willard Hall has been totally renovated and houses the College of Education and Human Sciences.
