Remembering President Henry G. Bennett’s Campus Home Remembering President Henry G. Bennett’s Campus Home

From 1917 to 1952, thousands of students, faculty, staff and others attended numerous teas, receptions, and meetings at the president's home, which was located on the site now occupied by the Bennett Memorial Chapel.

The home was a two-story white frame structure that was first used by James W. Cantwell, seventh president of Oklahoma A&M College. Its last occupants were President Henry Bennett and his family.

Hundreds of staff and students fondly recalled the pride of being "invited to the President's Home."
