Robert L. "Bob" McCulloh (pictured) was chosen the winner in a 1957 contest to compose a new alma mater hymn.
The hymn, sung to this day, is short and easy to remember:
“Proud and immortal,
bright shines your name.
Oklahoma State, we herald your fame.
Ever you'll find us loyal and true
to our alma mater, O-S-U.”
McCulloh, who graduated from OAMC in 1949, later became director of public information for OSU.
