The Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine established a new Equine Center, and a new Animal Sciences Arena was completed.
The arena (pictured), built to replace the old animal husbandry building that was demolished for construction of the Noble Research Center, was equipped with the latest technology in acoustics, lighting and efficiency.
It was renamed on April 11, 2015 to honor the late Dr. Bob Totusek, who fostered a culture of excellence in the Department of Animal Science for over 60 years.
Another project included the last phase of the campus-wide chilled water system, which began in the late 1960s.
The project centered around a chilled water system that was installed to cool most of the buildings on campus. Boilers were also installed to produce steam and hot water for the entire campus and produce electricity as a by-product.
