After the Big 8 Conference was dismantled in 1995, OSU was among several universities that became part of the Big XII Conference.
Current universities in the conference include Baylor, Iowa State, University of Kansas, Kansas State, University of Oklahoma, Texas Christian University, University of Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia University.
The University of Colorado, University of Nebraska, University of Missouri and Texas A&M were in the original Big XII, but have since left for the Pac-12, Big Ten and the SEC, respectively.
